ROATAN – La Ceiba – San Pedro – El Salvador – Miami – Los Angelos – Auckland – SYDNEY

ROATAN – La Ceiba – San Pedro – El Salvador – Miami – Los Angelos – Auckland – SYDNEY ………….. 6 different planes , 32 hours in 2 days.
I finally arrived in Sydney. Only missed one flight and only one plane was waiting for me while I was running through the security check into the plane as the last passenger - with the shoes in my hand, my belt around my neck and sweaty all over. Thank god. Finally sleeping.
I woke up by heavy turbulence over the great Pacific Ocean. I was praying to arrive safe. Gosh I hate flying more and more.

Well, here I am , back in the “REAL” life.
A life with shoes on my feet, 24/7 electricity + hot water , rules , traffic jams and where toilet paper belongs into the toilets.
Overwhelmed by the variety of food I discovered myself starring at the cheese section for half hour with eyeballs like a cat – following a tennis ball..
Millions of products were trying to confuse me. And believe me, they did!

How easy was Island life, just slurping bar feet over the warm sandy street to one of the 3 small fruit trucks in front of the beach, pick a few of the fresh fruits and veggies, a few more steps to Woody´s Supermarket ( if it is open ) where you are lucky if you find some chicken breast, choose one of the 3 different cheese species , grab a 30 litre water gallon – 50 m back to the house on the beach, picking up the fallen mangos from the huge mango tree in the garden and in the end - there was a food party somewhere anyway.
Either the fresh catched tuna to make some sushi or marco´s famous burritos or or or..
ANYWAY.

But hey, life doesn’t suck over here. I got used to the real life quite fast and enjoy the winter sun with the blue sky and nearly 20° every day. Seems like fake.

Nearly every day I walk along the beach . I am addicted to the ocean. What would life be without it…? So empty, quite, dry and boring. I love the sound of the crashing waves and the feeling while the water is taking the sand underneath your feet’s and the silence and beauty underneath the surface.

Surfers are riding the waves, swimmers are lapping and joggers are running like armies along the ocean.
Feels good to be back!

Awesome flat with very nice flatmates makes life even easier. Yeap, I love my life. ;)

I luckily came in the right season for the humpback whales who are crossing east Australia to go up north to the Great Barrier Reef for mating and giving birth before they go back south to the Antarctic waters for krill. These charismatic large animals are impressive and fascinating for me. It is such a shame that there were nearly extinct here in the 70´s, there were only 100 left. Today, thank the Whale protecting in Australia, there are about 8000 humpback whales travelling along the coast. ( Pssssssssst, I shouldnt talk to loud - Japan is arround the corner :) ) How beautiful they are!!!
