Hornsby Area, Sydney

There is one fact – I will never be rich, or roughly rich.
I am 28 years (young) and don’t own anything, not even a hairdryer. Oh I forgot, I have a small push scooter! Anyway, I may don’t own much but in the past years I learned that I don’t need much to be happy.
I am happy with what I´ve got – Freedom. And believe me, it’s a great feeling.

I will never have a big house in a special location, the more I appreciate living in these houses – well living is maybe overrated – I simply house sit them but it’s a great way to discover new area´s and get to know locals.
In the moment I am sitting on a big terrace with a million dollar view over a beautiful evergreen bush valley , accompanied by a standard puddle and lots of cockatoos in the trees. Every sunrise,- sunset they get together in large groups to get to there sleeping trees who are just a spit away from the house. I love cockatoos , they are amazing birds.
And sitting here on the terrace or looking out of my window even feels like sitting right in the tree with them!

Hornsby Heights is surrounded by bush so I try to discover lots of it, beautiful bush walks are hiding everywhere. One day Bron and me were walking a 4 km walk and we started in nice sunny weather as more and more clouds were coming and it finally rained like pigs, we found a rock overhang and underneath – a couch! In the middle of the bush! Then there was thunder ( oh jeah, you know me!! :) ) and we hike trough the tree area, which was covered in fern, as we realized we are not alone. Ca. 1 million leeches tried to get a lift on our legs and shoes.
They were everywhere. Hgggggggg……

The Crosslands

Without my friend Bron and her Husband Grant I would not have the chance to be here, they are helping me out with so much, even offered me there car and mountain bike to get around.. and to thank them I simply crashed there car. I cant believe it! I have driven over 100.000 km in the last 12 years and never had an accident and then pinggggg, in the next moment I am crashing my friends car. Good job Kristin.

Over Eastern I was house-sitting Bron´s place, a nice house close to the bush with 2 dogs and 4 chickens. I had a great time and for easter I had my friend Tanja over and I took her for a mountain bike tour in the Pennant Hills area. It turned out to be a BUSHBIKING trip, Bike & Hike! Fun but exhausting ( like the other day when I was 7 km inland the park and suddenly my chain snapped …. Tsssiiinnnggggg… 7 Km back walking, Uphill pushing the bike.. so my luck! )

The next day we spent at Palm Beach, getting smashed and tumbled by huge waves. What a nice Easter! Like my last one, in Guatemala during the holy week..
