The way through the Yucatan leads along very colorful ( small, most of the time half finished ) houses filled with hammocks and food shops in front of them. In between lots of dry jungle and rubbish..
Tulum
This is def. the place to be for a while - lonely perfect beaches with small cabanas, most of them not used anymore after the Hurricane in 2005. Here, you share the beaches with shells and Maya Chickens - Iguanas.
I had a great time with crazy people hanging around, going to reggae and rave party's on the beach, easy life.
Tulum Ruins - Xel Ha
This small Maya City is one of Mexico's last ancient cities to be abandoned (1200 - 1521 ) and has the most perfect location, right on the cliffs. It's hard to imagine Maya People hanging around the beach, maybe it was like the touristy Maya City - everybody went here for holidays :) Impressive location.
