Where the hell is BELIZE?!

Rush - the word doesn't exist in Belize, but that's how my trip here started. Out of Mexico - into Belize through the customs ( with very easy going customs officer ) and a bus to the harbor - in 10 Minutes! We jumped on the boat so San Pedro and couln't wait for the first beer running in our throat.. the american couple I was traveling with for a few days were very cool and kind.

Ambergey Caye, Belize

So many people are living here in half houses, clolourful and deteriorated. Lots of Rusta Man hanging arround, greeting you every time. You shouldnt walk to fast otherwise they make fun of you. In the background everywhere Reggae music. We found a nice place to stay right on the beach, but you only smell fuel from the hundreds of boats... For me San Pedro was just a stopover to go to the much smaller Island - Caye Caulker!

Caye Caulker, Belize - Whaaaaats up!

Sandy streets, blue water and lots of crazy locals. Thats the first impression of the tiny little Island. My Backpacker was very cute and I met very nice Australiens who I stayed with for a while. Cooking, drinking and sunbathing were the main things to do on this small but very beautiful Island...

Manatee Meeting

I went to see some Manatees, couldnt wait to see some of this huge sea cows chilling in the shallow water, eating and playing. They were very curious and came up to the boat to show us there fat white belli`s. Some of them where about 600 kg!

On the way back through some mangrove Islands and crystal blue water we realised that we were followed - by Dolphins! Lots of them jumping arround for a while till they disappeared in the lagoon..

Another crazy night on the Island. There is actually one small nightclub and we were watching the crazy locals getting drunk, the white tourists on the dancefloor with embarrassing moves and the local ¨prostitutes¨ huggin and kissing grandpa´s while we had lots of fun watching them all.
