St. Arnoud, North Island
We made our way further south till we arrived in St. Arnoud. A beautiful lake side with mountains welcomes you. Unfortunately it was heavy raining and we couldn’t do our walks. ( well not with my rain jacket :) ) free camping and kitchen area which was lovely. Ok, normally you have to pay in town.. but .. it was tooooo much rain .. we would have melted. . so we couldn’t pay. Again. :)
St. Arnoud – Christchurch – Lewis Pass, Southern Alps
Very impressiv way trough a few high passes and incredible bridges. Nice.
For overnight we stayed on a parking area in the middle of now where but directly on a loooong cave. Very scary night with lots of wind, and nightmares about creatures crawling into our car. Brrr.
Very glad that we survived and as I opened the door, we saw that there was snowfall last night.
